Pasha Dasha Grand Prix Regatta 2017!!
OC1/2 Relay, OC6 Short Course & Changes Race

Newcastle Outriggers is now 8 years old and we invite you to join us on our wonderful water playground for the 6th annual Pasha Dasha GP. In 2016 16 Clubs, 320 competitors, 44 teams had maximum fun with minimal hassles. Just pretend it’s “Island Time” once you arrive!

Bring family, friends etc and make a weekend of it. See the world’s biggest coal shipping port in action. Enjoy unequaled spectator access along the entire length of the course. If that’s not enough, the foreshore is a great place to kick back and enjoy the parks & cycle ways, restored buildings, restaurants, etc, with kilometers of beaches just a stone’s throw away.

COURSES:
OC1/2 Relay race – two laps/team of approx the Changes Race course.
Short Course – one lap of approx the Changes Race course.
Changes Races -
As with last 3 years, Men, Mixed & Women, 5 laps, 4 changes , staggered start – men first.
First lap – 6.3km, remainder – 5.4km, 27.9km total.
(Individual support boats not be required as paddlers change on/ just off Horseshoe Beach).
Alternate (inside) Course – 6 laps, all 4.5km, 27km total

RACE PROGRAM:
7.30am Briefing & then 30 minutes before each race
8.00am OC1/2 Relay 2 × 5 km
10.00am Short Course incl Novice, Jnr 8km, 4km
12.00, 12.04,12.08pm Changes Race: Men, Mixed & Women, 27.9 km
